- How do I add the widget?
- Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap the plus button, and search for Gibbous. Lock Screen widgets are added from the Lock Screen customizer the same way. One widget style is free; the full pack is Premium.
- Is there an Apple Watch app?
- Yes, and it is free: the moon on your wrist, with complications for your watch face. It installs with the iPhone app.
- Which alerts can I set?
- The full moon alert is free, with a lead time you choose. Premium adds new moon, first and last quarter, eclipses, supermoons, and rare moons, plus a quiet digest of the weeks ahead.
- Can I ask Siri about the moon?
- Yes. Ask Siri for tonight's moon, the moon on any date, or the next full moon. It works offline and needs no setup.
- Why does the moon phase look flipped?
- The lit side is mirrored between hemispheres. In Settings, turn on the Southern Hemisphere view to flip the moon to match your sky.
- Moonrise and moonset are blank.
- Rise and set times need a location. Allow location access, or add a place in Settings, and they will appear.
- How accurate are the times?
- Phase and illumination are computed from established algorithms and validated against published ephemerides. Moonrise and moonset are accurate to about a minute for your location.
- Do alerts work offline?
- Yes. Alerts are scheduled on your device from the moon's own cycle, so they do not need a signal or a server.
- How do I restore a purchase?
- In Settings, tap Restore purchases. Your Premium or Lifetime will return on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. There is no account, and Gibbous collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
